ABOUT US
The B&B in the centre of Cuneo, at no. 4 Piazza Galimberti, is run by a local family with a passion for hospitality: our aim is to offer a welcoming, modern and comfortable place for all travellers who are visiting Cuneo and its surroundings, as well as those who are are just passing through.
Virgula B&B was founded for this reason and is a family-run project. Every detail has been created by Nicoletta and Guglielmo (mother and son), helped by local experts. The result is welcoming and sophisticated, where everyone can feel at home.
The B&B, located in a historical building with a lift, has recently been renovated and stylishly furnished; it features three double rooms and a triple room, all with private bathroom and personal care products .
An overnight stay at our Bed & Breakfast includes a sweet and savoury buffet breakfast, with hot dishes and drinks served directly at guests' tables. The products have been carefully selected from the best local zero-food-mile producers, especially jams and fruit juices from organic farming.
Why are we named Virgula and what has the wandering book lover got to do with it?
The name Virgula comes from a family acronym and we are delighted to associate it with our business. Moreover, in Latin (but also in Piemontese, our local dialect) “virgula”means “virgola” in Italian, or “comma” in English, the shortest pause mark which, in reading, corresponds to a tiny pause.
And that's where the idea of the Wandering Book Lover comes from: a reader on the move, the kind of traveller who treats himself to a well-earned rest, comfort and time out with a good book. Each room in fact offers its guests a selection of books and literary works.
We're looking forward to having you in Cuneo, a city rich in history and traditions, a stone's throw from the majestic and evocative Piedmontese Alpine mountains.
